General Summary of Position
Position SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our talented team in a PRN Capacity! Minimum requirement is 12 shifts in a 6 week period. -
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent in this position functions as a consultant, practitioner and educator for patients, staff and physicians concerning problems within patients or outpatients with ostomies, fistulas/draining wounds, pressure wounds and incontinence care. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

  Qualifications
  
  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Graduate of a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse program that is accredited by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Society. -Will consider applicants who are in the process of completing WOCN certification with the expectation that it will be completed within 12 months of hire. Consideration will be given to an appropriate combination of education/training and experience.
  • Professional practice as a nurse which includes experience in direct patient care.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
    This position has a hiring range of $37.50 - $54.92
