Job Description:
The Business Risk and Control Lead for Marketing and
Transformation and Delivery applies in-depth disciplinary
knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and
the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function
while integrating subject matter and industry expertise within a
defined area.
- Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively
integrate within the subfunction as well as coordinate and
contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
Will evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with
substantial potential impact, where development of an
approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives
and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple
sources of information.
- Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize
and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple
sources.
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
- Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams
and involves in coaching and training of new recruits.
- Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by
influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating
services to others in area of specialization.
- Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly
affected by the performance of the individual.
- Marketing and Transformation and Delivery leads the operational
execution of 4B+ unique & targeted customer contacts per year
across all US PBWM LOBs and channels while maintaining
accountability for building & managing marketing processes and
infrastructure to enable scalable, agile delivery.Responsibilities:
- Assist in contributing to the quality, completeness, and
accuracy of the implementation of the Control Framework, including
Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy,
Lesson Learned Policy and Control Inventory.
- Provide support in the identification of issue root cause,
partnering with control and process owners to recommend holistic
corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to
ensure appropriate escalation in accordance with Issue Management
and Escalation Policies.
- Support on the implementation of the Lessons Learned Policy,
including monitoring of control breaches and dissemination of
learnings across other business units for process improvement to
limit the occurrence of similar future events and where similar
risk exposure might exist.
- Influence decisions on the review and challenge process, on the
effective design and management of controls to mitigate risks as
required by the Control Standards, including implementation and
operation, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for
resolution.
- Perform analysis to support with the timeliness, accuracy and
completeness of the MCA through controls prior to the execution of
a process (QC).
- Support and contribute to Operational and Compliance Risk in
accordance with established Policy requirements.
- Work with the team to identify, assess, escalate, and manage
risk exposures across Risk Categories (Operational Compliance,
Strategic, Reputational, etc.), including material, emerging and
concentration risks in accordance with enterprise Policies and the
establishment of Key Indicators to monitor risk exposures.
- Perform analysis to support Risk Appetite and monitor / assess
exposures against this in accordance with enterprise requirements
(if applicable).
- Provide support to identify, assess, record and respond to
Operational and Compliance Risk events, ensuring these are captured
accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements.
- Perform analysis on the risks associated with New Activities
and changes to the Business, ensuring these are well understood and
adequately controlled (if applicable).
- Support on operational risk scenario analysis and stress
testing for Operational Risk Capital requirements.
- Perform analysis to support risk and control assessments or
coordination for programs within various risk stripes and ensure
sufficient subject matter expertise exists to enable management of
these risks within the Business (e.g. third party, fraud, sanctions
etc) (if applicable).
- Be involved with the implementation of standards and procedures
that conform to enterprise requirements and support sound
operational and compliance risk management.
- Apply knowledge of the business, products or services.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and
safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Experience with work-flow systems, data analysis and
tableau.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding relationship building and relationship management
skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal
communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS
Excel.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent
experience.Additional Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in Marketing and retail bank/financial
services industry experience.
- Requires attention to detail, advanced project management
skills, good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage
multiple tasks/projects at once.
- Creative problem solving and sense of ownership.
- Solid communication, presentation and project management
skills.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and
team-oriented environment.Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.This
